For the wonderful OSSBarcamp event in Ireland we had a special request of WordPress.  We needed attendees to sign themselves into the site and schedule themselves to give a talk in the room and at the time of their choice.  First in got that slot.   I solved this problem for them using open source software and a little code.   Here is what I did.

Silvia Pfeiffer annouced that she's released a new Open Source WordPress plugin called External Videos.  This plugin adds the ability in WordPress 3 to pull in the videos from a video channel from YouTube.   The meta data for each video is also pulled in and displayed.   Using the Wordpress Admin are videos can be presented in posts and pages.  A gallery can be created showing an array of many videos.
