2012 isn't far off now, 4 days including today. My mind has been going crazy thinking about all my goals for the new year. I also am having a hard time defining myself separate from my business (Ginger Robot) and my new life as a homesteader (Widget Grove). What should I do with this domain? Well there is a lot of me that doesn't quite fit on the widgetgrove website. although anything can go on there. Read more »

The week we ran 5 miles
Submitted by jaime on Wed, 07/22/2009 - 17:51I wish I had written up our trip to Gran Canaria as it went, but I didn't so I'll just have to move on and hope I can get enough out of twitter when I get around to making the scrapbook.
Sunday July 12th - I was thrilled that we'd left the house in a pristine state. Got home to fresh sheets, empty washing lines, clothes to wear to work and even meals in the freezer!. We enjoyed walking in the sun in Dublin before it started lashing rain to welcome us home. I imagine my summer clothes will be going back in their dusty box for a long time now.

Navy Spring Nights
Submitted by jaime on Mon, 04/27/2009 - 18:04Monday April 20th A gorgeous sunny spring morning. I was up early and took a little time to take photographs in St Stephens Green.

The big news of today was that Sun bought Oracle for 9.50 a share. As Jan works there this news effects us, we'll have to wait and see what happens with this over the next few months.

Monday October 13th - Jan flew to Hamburg for work and I planned a week at home, I could finally get stuck into some of my hobbies. I could spend some time by myself and have a great week. I had a fridge full of left overs that would last all week too. I did have a good night watching heroes but hit the sack soon after it finished without even stepping into my craft room.
Wednesday October 15th - I met up with Laura and Martha at the Long stone for an unofficial Geek Girl dinner, it turned out to be a nice night chatting.
Married for Three Years
Submitted by jaime on Mon, 10/06/2008 - 05:54Published in
The start of October marked our third wedding anniversary. We decided to celebrate the night before it, October 1st, at home. Strangely three years was an important milestone for us because we'd decided it was the amount of time where we'd break even for all the expense and effort of the wedding itself, also we'd said that three years is a pretty decent time to have stayed happily married to start with so YAY us. Jan cooked ginger chicken with pineapple and rice and I brought home some sticky date pudding and bourbon custard.
Routines and completed tasks
Submitted by jaime on Thu, 07/05/2007 - 07:05In the shower this morning I imagined having my perfect organisational tool, yes the one I fantasise about a few times a year and start programming around new years every single year.

End of 2006
Christmas and New Years were spent here in Barcelona, most of the time Jan and I were alone at home with Thomas's cat Alunya and Wims projector. New Years Eve we went to our friend Areskis place and drank lots of cava. We ate 12 grapes each to each of the 12 chimes of the midnight clock which is considered lucky here and the only way to start the new year.
