2012 isn't far off now, 4 days including today.   My mind has been going crazy thinking about all my goals for the new year.  I also am having a hard time defining myself separate from my business (Ginger Robot) and my new life as a homesteader (Widget Grove).   What should I do with this domain?  Well there is a lot of me that doesn't quite fit on the widgetgrove website. although anything can go on there. 

There is my Computer programmer side.  I'm constantly researching bits and pieces for Drupal, our websites, technologies around the house, PHP etc.  I'm trying to learn more about web design.

There's my artistic side. I just completed a certificate 3 in Visual Arts [I wonder where my actual certificate is?].  I have a years worth of projects I could analyse on my blog.  I also have artistic ideas for new projects. I just bought a stack of canvases as well.  I'm very interested in ceramics and sculpture as well. I want sculptures to put around my garden.

Music.  I want to play guitar and piano well and sing.  However I seem to put these as the lowest priority in my life.

There's my health.  I'm quite overweight.  I have pretty much maintained my weight all of 2011.  I had a goal to lose weight and it just didn't happen for me.  I even joined weight watchers [Valentines 2011] and went to many weekly meetings.  I want to do this and lose weight and feel healthy and fit.

I could write about my style, fashion and art and interior design.  Keep ideas for my garden. Things that are personal to me rather than a goal for the property that I've worked on with Jan as well.

So far I've committed to walking 3 times a week in 2012.  I also set up a cork board with pictures representing other goals e.g. having a family, spending time with family and friends.  Working towards financial independance, Feeling fit and gorgeous and being artistic.

A final desire is to go travelling it's been two years since I travelled overseas.  I got a little money at christmas so I've started saving for it.  I think I'll probably have to go on my own.  Jan doesn't seem keen to go anywhere with me.  My first thoughts are travelling around China and Japan.

I'd like to pursue my individual side as well as grow our home here at Widget Grove and my business Ginger Robot.
