Trying out our tent

In class on Monday we talked about how there's more than four seasons here in Thurgoona.  There's many permutations of Dry, wet, hot, cold, and the stages in between.  The most important part is to look at the signs of each of the seasons and get to know when it's arrived.  Keeping a diary is a good way of doing this.

We did food preparation in class on Wednesday.  We used a machine to core and make apple spirals then put them on broom handles to dry in the sun.  We put some herbs in a solar drier as well.  Very cool ideas.  I got all inspired to make yogurt and bought myself an easy yo kit.

Really love seeing the flowers in our garden every day.   The peach is now blooming as well.  Tulips are coming out red and white.  I cleared a few meters in front yard of Ribbon Grass and planted a Grevillea Mt Tamboritha.

I finally got around to designing a scrapbook. I haven't done one for over a year. It'll be about May/June and July of this year.  Photos are edited and ordered so I'm looking forward to getting on with this project.

I made a couple of meters of potatos, Pontiacs and colibans. Then in the spot where the compost was we threw in some mixed bug attracting flower seeds.

Other blooms in the garden coming up in the grass.  The tent Jan put up behind the peach blooms.  Jan tested putting up our 4 man tent, maybe we'll go camping some time soon.
